Creating new perspective set

Short guide on: How to create new perspective set.

 

Creation of new perspective may be needed if your are working with empty database or want to create brand new point of view for working database.

Steps needed:

1. In Configuration panel create new configuration based on currently used (select it).
   If you want to use existing object as a root for new perspective set go to point 4. If you want to use new Object Class as root, continue with point 2.
   
   
2. Go to Object Class panel (having selected new configuration) and add new object class that you want to be root for new perspective set.
   
   
   

3. You can add new Object Class field - with label "name" to and add it Label Field status.

   Please do not add fields with Required flag or activation of configuration will not work.

4. Go to Perspectives panel and create new perspective set with desired name.
   
   
   
   

5. Field Root class can be selected from class picker: 
   
   
   
   

6. If you use existing object as root, fill in Root id field. If it's new object class, leave it blank. 
7. Add this class in Perspective window for this Perspective Set . You can also fill in Available Classes window if needed (for existing object class only)

8. Activate this configuration. 

   In case of perspectives which had new object class used as root activation will create automatically one new random object of this class that will be a root for new perspective.

9. Go to Layout Manager panel and add new perspective set to chosen Tesselet.
